Missions Team
JPL Missions Team
Our life description is to live more and more in every way like Jesus in our circumstances and to learn to fish for people. The missions team is working to encourage the church to share Christ among their friends, family, community and in the world.
Sharing Christ with your friends, family and community
Stop by our table on the patio and pick up a Friends For Life and a Praying For the Lost card that are great tools to help us pray, care and share.
We are hosting a small group study of the Book: Organic Outreach for Ordinary People by Kevin G. Harney. Lee Strobel says “Practical, well illustrated, and biblical, this is a great tool to help prepare ordinary Christian to share the extraordinary message of Jesus.” In these pages you will discover that sharing the good news of Jesus can be as natural as talking about your favorite sports team or telling a friend about a wonderful new restaurant.
This group will meet in our home on Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.  The first Wednesday, (February 3) will meet in the church ‘fishbowl’ as we are moving into our new apartment. Â
The missions group is coordinating a team to help out at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. Â We will be going on a tour of the facilities on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 2:00 pm. Â If anyone would like to join us, please e-mail Erica at griffinswest@aol.com.
Sharing Christ in the world
The missions team is maintaining contact with different missionaries in the world:

Tim and Janet Welch: Â West African Regional coordinator under SIM International Missions.
Joe Ozawa: Â Works in the juvenile court system in the 10/40 window (Singapore). Â Â Â

We are researching a short term mission trip to Cote D’Ivoire.
Â
Blessings,
Brandon and Erica Griffin
